Writing Tips:
Power your press release with these basic guidelines
1. Remember that journalists are looking for something interesting to write or report on. Craft your press release in a way that highlights what is unique about your news, event or product.
2. It starts with the headline. Instead of “Company XYZ Releases the BZY Replicator,” try “New BZ Replicator Cuts Labor Cost by 50 Percent.”
3. After the headline should be a paragraph that contains the basic who, what, when, where, and most important: why. This serves as the summary for the rest of the press release. The remainder of the press release should provide relevant detail and quotes.
